A big goose egg. I was feeling pretty lousy in the morning and not much better in the evening so I figured I could use a day off. I hadn't taken one in quite a while so even though I felt guilty all day, I think it was very beneficial.
Tuesday, November 13th
6:00 PM - Hill Workout
16 min warm up
Drills
17 min over to the hill
5 x Heartbreak to the top (1:51, 1:49, 1:48, 1:47, 1:44); Avg= 1:47
10 x 200m up the hill (34-38 sec)
18 min cool down back to the res
Total = 14 Miles, 90 min
Worked out with Ryan C, Fabian, Maloney, and Nieskens. Felt really smooth on all the hills, never had to push it too hard. It was nice to get moving a little faster on the 200s and get up on my toes a bit more than usual. I think it was a perfect workout for me this week since I've been feeling tired and needed something that wasn't going to kill me but at the same time had enough quality to give me confidence going into Sunday's race. I'll keep things easy the rest of the week and barring illness or injury, I think this weekend should go well.
