Concord Minuteman trails w/ Jess
Today I had a chance to experience running in the historical town of Concord. You may know this town as home to great American authors Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau, or where the "shot heard 'round the world" was fired and start of the American Revolutionary War began. Well, more importantly, it is also the home of New Balance Boston standout, Jessica Minty.
On a gorgeous morning, we started the run from Jess' mom's house and ran through town over to the Minuteman National Historic Park. We followed the scenic trail through the park into Lexington (about 6 miles long) and turned around to follow the same trail back. It was a really great run and I couldn't have asked for a better location. I now know why it is one of Jess' favorite places to run. After the run, we concluded our morning by going to brunch at a nice little cafe in town and had some great home style food. Overall, it was a great morning and gave me some quality time with a quality friend.

Jeff,
This is great. It's nice to be able to get daily updates. Awesome job in your last couple of races.
I'm back from Zap for good and starting my comeback after running Chicago on that stress fracture.
Since I'm not running a marathon for a while I'll be training for
3-k to 10-k races most of the year. Maybe I can close that gap at Beach to beacon this year, although the way you are running you might lengthen the gap.
Cheers,
Judson Cake, the slower JC.
