So things haven't changed too much with the leg situation. My hamstring has loosened up some but the tendinitis is still bothering me. I saw my chiropractor on Wednesday and he confirmed my diagnosis of it being the semi-tendinosus. He worked on a lot of stuff which I think was helping the overall situation but ended up making me more sore on Thursday as a result. Last night I went to see the premiere of "Spirit of the Marathon", a new documentary with Deena Kastor that follows the ambitions of long distance runners. It was a great movie and was very inspiring. After the movie, I hung out with Fenton, Karina, and Mark from Flotrack. This was pretty cool and just made me more eager to run fast. I want to be as positive as I can about everything going on so I'm trying not to worry about the small set backs now and focus on the big picture.

I am seeded in the fast heat of the 3000m tomorrow at the Terrier Invitational and my plan is to be in that race. I plan on getting in there with the race strategy that I've had all along and just find out where I stand right now. I figure I at least owe it to myself to give it a shot. After the race, I can re-evaluate my situation and adjust accordingly if needed. It should be a very exciting weekend with a lot of great things lined up (Terrier women tonight, Terrier men tomorrow, Indoor Games, awesome after party at Game On, NB Boston getting onto Flotrack, fun people visiting, and the list goes on). I just hope that I can add to the excitement by running something respectable.
