Tufts Pool
I've been planning on doing a pool week somewhere in the middle of this long season so I figured now would be a good time get it in. I've been going strong for 7 weeks now, 3 weeks with workouts, and just had my first race this weekend so even though I don't feel worn down or on the verge of an injury, I think my legs could use a down week to rest and take away some of the impact training. With the added injuries over the past few years, I figure any preventative measures will be helpful. I'll still be running the workouts with the team but my distance days will be in the pool. After this pool week, I'll have 3 solid weeks of training before Mayors Cup and 9 weeks before club nats. So there is still plenty of time to get in race shape but also plenty of time to get hurt if I'm not careful.
Since pool running isn't the most exciting thing in the world, I would certainly welcome any company if any of you readers out there are interested.

I like the idea of this "pool week". Very smart! This plus some work from a physio will definitely pay off in the next few weeks and months!
